" No aquarium, no tank in a marine land, however spacious it may be, can begin to duplicate the conditions of the sea. No dolphins or marine mammals who inhabits one of those aquariums or one of those marine lands parks can be considered normal."
Jacques Yves Cousteau.

Now, here is  a quote from me:
Remember this: Every time you encourage a marine park by buying a ticket to see the marine mammals captive there, or on a vacation in a resort with a swim with captive dolphins, you are contributing to their captures and helping keeping them prisoners! It is as simple as that! And yes there is still capture!

If you do not like my quote,  before posting an uneducated comment on my journal entry, do yourself a favour and please go on Google search and type: Where do captive dolphins come from.
When the first page will  open, click on Dolphins FAQ. You will be on the WSPA org web page, an organisation dedicated to the well-fare of all animals. Please click on  all the questions and read all the answers. So, the next time you decide to visit a marine park that is exhibiting marine mammals  or decide to become a paying customer at swim-with -the-dolphin dolphins program for human entertainment... you will know exactly what your decision making and your choice of spending your money is contributing to do!

Every choice you make influence the whole world around you, and demand for people to see marine mammals in captivity create the need for prisoners to be kept in a tank or confinement  1% the size of their natural habitat. So think about that the next time you are clapping your hands to a showing of their unnatural behaviours!  That's your choice!

FOR MYSELF AND THE PURPOSE OF MY ART, THIS IS WHAT I DECIDED TO DO FROM NOW ON:
My choice and my way of standing up for the awareness of marine mammals in captivity is  to block from my profile page all deviants  whom are taking pictures in marine parks & zoos and GROUPS whom are  proudly displaying them, from favouring my art or adding me to their deviants watch list.

I cannot accept to have my work mix up with peoples encouraging the captivity of animals that should be living in freedom in the ocean, where they belong, not in a fish bowl or cages!
All others DEVIANTS ARTISTS can help also by not encouraging pictures of these beautiful creatures, kept as prisoners...
The best way to commune with dolphins or other marine mammals is from the deck of a whale watch operation that follows a responsible code of conductor, better yet, from shore, where you can be sure that you're not harming them.
Now this is my choice ; what's your choice going to be?

Wonderful quote, this was beautifully journal written as well! :) So full of compassion and awareness! It was people like you, that spoke about the horrors of captivity and without a hateful attitude toward ignornance. That opened my eyes to how terrible captivity really is. I never really thought about it as a child and young adult, until I recently reserched captivity,(after seeing awareness art on deviant art from people like AnoOrca) and the number of premature deaths, speak for it's self.

It's wonderful that you are doing art to show people, how the wild really is a place for these animals! :) Keep up the great journals and beautiful art! You never know who it will impact
